Visit to the Hindu Temple

Last month, a group of us visited the Sri Raja Rajeswary Amman Temple for their Community Afternoon, as Sunnybank had been chosen as one of their charities.

When we arrived, everyone was very kind, welcoming and generous. We were given lots of delicious Indian food to try, and it was lovely to all sit together and enjoy the afternoon.

We also watched lots of amazing performances and dances by Hindu girls and women. I thought they were brilliant, and their dresses were really colourful and sparkly.

One of my favourite parts of the day was visiting the main temple. We had to take our shoes off before going inside. The temple was beautiful, peaceful and full of amazing statues and decorations. It was really interesting to learn more about the temple and we were even allowed to take photos.

Overall, I really enjoyed the day and would love to visit the temple again soon for more events with Sunnybank.

A big thank you to the Stoneleigh Hindu Temple and Age Concern Epsom & Ewell for such a lovely day.
