Choices Clubs,
Events & Activities

Sunnybank offers a fun and inclusive mix of clubs and activities for adults with learning disabilities.

​

Activities are held in and around North East Surrey.

​

Members choose new clubs and suggest improvements to existing ones, making sure everything we do is shaped by the people we support. 

Our goals & aims:

Increase physical health & wellbeing

Provide opportunities for creativity & self expression

Increase mental

health & wellbeing

Increase community connection

Reduce isolation

& build friendships

Boost confidence

& self esteem

Sunny Afternoon Craft Club

Our Sunny Afternoon Craft Club happens every Thursday in Epsom.

Sessions have a different theme every week, like World Music Day and National Donut Day.


Our members have the opportunity to take part in different activities and crafts like painting, making cards, decorating mugs, making pies and dancing!

Gardening Club

Our gardening club meets every Wednesday at the Sunnybank Allotment in Epsom.

Members enjoy time outdoors, tending plants and growing produce.

The sessions encourage gentle exercise, reduce stress, and provide a calm green space that boost both physical and mental health.

In 2024 we spent over 68 hours on
the Sunnybank allotment

Coffee & Chat

Our Coffee & Chat groups meet every Tuesday morning at a Cafe near Epsom High Street.
 

Our Coffee and Chat Club is a welcoming space to enjoy a hot drink and meet new friends.


Each week, members share stories, laughter, and everyday experiences in a relaxed setting.


The club helps people with learning disabilities feel connected and part of the community.

Drama Group

Sunnybank’s drama club supports people with learning disabilities grow in confidence, build friendships, and shine on stage.

Every year, our drama croup puts on a drama show. The shows production is led by the drama members.

Our drama group has regular optional outings to watch live theatre performances.

Recent drama outings include:

  • The Lion King at Lyceum Theatre

  • Guys & Dolls at Bridge Theatre 

  • Charlie & The Choc Factory at Epsom Playhouse

Bowls Club

Bowls club runs every Tuesday from May to October. The club supports:
 

  • Physical wellness

  • Friendship and connection

  • Building confidence

  • Inclusion in the community

  • Teamwork and cooperation

  • Joy and fun

SWAG Disco

The SWAG Monthly Disco provides a lively, welcoming space where everyone can dance, enjoy music, and connect with others.

DJ Magic Martin creates a fun, inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels part of the party. He has a learning disability and is employed by Sunnybank.

100% of our SWAG members report looking forward to each event

Trip-icana

Outings

Trip-icana outings give members the opportunity to go on exciting trips, enjoy new experiences, and share adventures with friends.

 

Each outing is a safe, inclusive space where everyone can feel included, make connections, and create lasting memories.

​

Past Trip-icana Outings have included:

  • A pantomime in London

  • A trip to the movie theatre in Epsom

  • A day at the coast

  • Two days at an activity centre in Dorking

Online Clubs
& Activities

Online clubs started in lockdown 2020 to keep our community connected.

 

We have continued to run online clubs in response to the need of the community.

Online Activities include:

  • Karaoke Club

  • Movies with Mates

  • Quiz Nights
