Craft Club Support
The Sunny Afternoon Craft Club is a friendly, welcoming space where adults with learning disabilities come together to get creative, try new activities, and enjoy time with friends. We are looking for volunteers to help support the group and make sure everyone feels included and supported.
What you’ll do
-
Welcome members as they arrive and help create a sociable atmosphere

Support members with craft activities
-
Join in with the fun, encouraging conversation, friendship, and creativity
-
Work alongside Sunnybank staff to ensure the session runs smoothly
-
Help make the club a safe and enjoyable space for all
What we’re looking for

Friendly, patient, and reliable
-
Enjoys arts and crafts (no need to be an expert!)
-
Comfortable chatting with and supporting adults with learning disabilities
When & where

Thursday 1pm - 4pm in Epsom

Lamplight CRM Support
​
​
We are seeking a volunteer with previous experience using Lamplight to help us make the most of the software. This role may involve:
​
-
Updating records and case notes
-
Running reports and extracting data for monitoring and funding
-
Supporting staff to build their confidence and skills in using Lamplight
-
Sharing tips and guidance to help us get the best out of the system
​
We’re looking for someone organised, confident with Lamplight, and keen to share their knowledge with others.
By helping our team use the system effectively, you will play an important role in strengthening the way we manage our services and continue supporting adults with learning disabilities.

Advocate
At Sunnybank, our advocacy team supports adults with learning disabilities to have their voices heard, understand their rights, and be treated fairly. We are looking for volunteers to join us in this important work.
​
As an Advocacy Volunteer, you may help with:
-
Visiting Sunnybank partners in hospital to provide support and reassurance
-
Assisting with hospital and GP appointments
-
Supporting people to prepare for and attend meetings (e.g. with social workers, housing officers, or benefit advisors)
-
Listening and encouraging individuals to express their views and choices
-
Helping people understand letters, forms, and information
-
Recording case notes and feedback for the advocacy team
We’re looking for someone who is:
-
A good listener, patient, and respectful
-
Able to communicate clearly with people with learning disabilities
-
Organised and reliable
-
Committed to inclusion, equality, and confidentiality
Support for you:
You will be fully supported by our Advocacy Manager and Deputy Manager. They will provide training, guidance, and ongoing supervision, ensuring you feel confident and well-prepared in your role.

Grant Writer
​
​We are seeking a volunteer with strong writing skills to support Sunnybank’s work with adults with learning disabilities.
​
As a Grant Writer Volunteer, you may help with:

Researching suitable trusts, foundations, and funding opportunities
-
Drafting compelling grant applications and funding proposals
-
Supporting the team with reports for funders, including impact and outcomes
-
Working closely with staff to gather the information needed for applications
-
Helping to keep a record of applications and deadlines
We’re looking for someone who is:
-
Skilled in writing clear, persuasive applications
-
Organised and able to meet deadlines
-
Comfortable researching and presenting information
-
Interested in supporting a local charity making a difference in the community
Support for you:
You will be supported by Sunnybank’s Senior Leadership Team, who will provide guidance, background information, and access to impact data and case studies. You’ll never be working alone.
