Polesden Lacey trip

Blog by Jovi, Choices Officer

On the 6th November, a group of Sunnybank partners, volunteers and staff went to Polesden Lacey to go to the Ignite Light Trail.

We each got put in a team of around 5 or 6 people when we arrived and we almost managed to stay together in our groups!

We got some food outside the Mansion halfway through the walk. The food options were OK but there weren’t as many as last year. I had some Arancini (Italian Deep-Fried Rice Balls which had Mushrooms & Cheese in them), Churros (Spanish Doughnut Sticks) with a pot of melted chocolate and a Bailey’s Hot Chocolate with Whipped Cream and Marshmallows!

My favourite parts were the Fairy Tale part which had Goldilocks, Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs & Jack and the Beanstalk and the part which looked like a Giant Chess Board.

I thought it was a really good night and would definitely like to go again next year.

Overall, I would give the evening a 9/10 because it was better than last year and had more things to look at and take pictures of.
