Advisory Board
Our Advisory Board is made up of people with learning disabilities. They play a key role in shaping the charity’s work i advising on accessibility, taking part in recruitment, welcoming new staff, and helping to plan new activities.

Sunnybank’s Advisory Committee is made up of members with learning disabilities who bring lived experience and insight to every level of our work. They are involved in the recruitment of all new staff and lead welcome sessions to help new team members understand more about learning disabilities from their perspective.

At least one committee member attends every trustee board meeting to represent the voices of our community. The group also advises on the accessibility of both internal and external information and is consulted when we develop or choose new clubs and activities. Their input is vital in making sure Sunnybank continues to meet the needs and interests of our members.
"It's important our voices are heard" - Ashleigh, Committee Member
