The sunflower is an important flower. It’s a symbol of hope, happiness and prosperity.
It’s also a symbol for those with hidden disabilities who may need support while out and about.
The Great Sunnybank Sunflower Growing Competition is a great opportunity for us to celebrate such a wonderful flower.
This year’s competition is launched in honour of the special friends that we have sadly lost in the last 12 months.
We will be awarding prizes for:
· The tallest sunflower: your chance to win two vouchers to RHS Wisley.
· The most unusual sunflower name: this lucky winner will receive an afternoon tea voucher at a local nursery.
How to enter:
To enter our competition and receive your seeds, send us an email with your name and address: email@example.com.
Anyone can enter and there is to cost. However, if you would like to make a donation to the charity to support the work on our new allotment project, please click here.
The competition starts on Thursday 22nd April 2021 and will run until September.
Seeds can be requested any time during April.
If you don’t have a garden or outside space, ask us for an indoor kit, which will consist of a plant pot and soil.
A special thank you to RHS Wisley for donating two tickets to our competition.
