Tom Rhind-Tutt, Founder & President

As a child Tom’s dyslexia was not recognised and he was regarded as having limited mental capacity. At 21 a lucky break led to Tom becoming responsible for The Imperial Life international conferences, a role he held for 30 years.

Tom Sheriff, Chair

Tom Sheriff, Chair

Tom Sheriff is an economist (MA) with business experience of strategic planning, finance, marketing and personnel. Tom has significant experience with vulnerable client groups, including those suffering mental health and prisoners and their families.

Jacky Oliver, Vice-chair

Jacky Oliver, Vice-chair

Jacky Oliver trained as a Chartered Physiotherapist and specialised in mental health. She undertook a service management role during the closure of the Epsom Hospital Cluster, involving commissioning new hospitals and community services.

Caroline Andrews

Caroline Andrews

Caroline trained as an Accountant via the AAT route and then ACCA.  Having worked predominantly in practice, she now runs her own accountancy practice.
For over 10 years prior to becoming a trustee, Caroline ran The Sunnybank Trust payroll and had been involved in the end of year accounts.

Bill Brown

Bill Brown

As retired printing engineer, Bill spent all his working life on newspaper printing presses and ancillary printing equipment for national newspapers.
Bill became involved in Sunnybank following an appeal to help set up a registered charity in our local area.

Derek Eade

Derek Eade

Having begun his working life as an office clerk with a small public company, now owned by BTR/Rentokil, Derek gained practical experience in many aspects of business.  He then moved on to become a Senior Accountant with Dowding & Doll Ltd.

Luke Jennings

Luke Jennings

Having qualified earlier in his career as a chartered Quantity Surveyor, Luke decided to venture into digital marketing and after ten years developing websites, started his own company in 2008 with two colleagues. He now runs a 25-strong digital marketing company, based in Epsom.

Ciara Lawrence

Ciara Lawrence

Ciara is proud to be Sunnybank’s first trustee that has a learning disability. She has worked for Mencap since 1999 and now works full-time as a Campaigns Support Officer. Ciara is a Mencap media spokesperson and she chairs two Mencap inclusion groups.

Emma Reeve

Emma Reeve

Emma joined Sunnybank as a trustee in December 2019. Emma started her career as a support worker for Surrey County Council. She now works as an Operations Director for a national organisation supporting people with learning disabilities and mental health.

Chris Snell

Chris Snell

Chris retired recently from being a consultancy partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the leading global business services firm. Throughout his career, he has focused on the public and voluntary sectors working as a civil servant in Whitehall and for the European Commission in Brussels.

Sunnybank Trust

We are helping over 200 vulnerable men, women and young people with learning disabilities in Epsom and the surrounding areas to lead fuller lives. Many more need our help!
