Make Time, Be A Friend!

As a befriender, you will regularly visit a resident in their home, for some this may include going on an outing or simply a walk.  Long term personal friendship is the essential feature.

As part of the Kites Social Club, the role of the volunteer is to encourage and enable Club members to participate in the weekly club activities that the member may choose.  There is a Rota of roles including craft help, kitchen assistance, drama & music support or simply general socializing and having fun!

With our Pen Friend Scheme , a pen friend will send personal birthday and Christmas cards, or short letters to an allocated resident in a community home who would otherwise not receive any post.

Through the Community Church of the Good Shepherd many residents in the area of Manor Park and Oak Glade attend the regular community church Sunday service.  As part of this team, the volunteer helps in a range of activities throughout the year.
